Alycia Kaback's entrepreneurial plans were started at a very early age during one of her first auditions for The Mickey Mouse Club. Alycia's background and passion was in professional dance. She would audition, with thousands of other young talent across the country, at the same time as such notable stars as Justin Timberlake and a still unknown Britney Spears. She found herself frustrated at not being chosen. Alycia did not know if it was because of her impeccable dance skills, lack of audition techniques, how to poise herself, correct audition etiquette, not knowing the casting directors she was auditioning for. What could she of changed to have had better luck in achieving her dream, was she even on the right path? Alycia was never given the reason for this. She was the top dancer at her school; everyone always complemented her and could not understand why she wasn't more successful. Alycia was extremely competitive and wanted to learn the ins and outs that make some people more successful than others. Alycia thought about ways to help others change and improve destiny for upcoming talent looking to get into the entertainment industry and her ideas fell on deaf ears that also never knew what they were doing wrong in achieving their dreams."It was hard to take advice from people who have never done it. There was a reason why most people teach. Did they fail and this was their back-up plan?" Alycia constantly meet individuals who wanted to succeed in the entertainment field but did not know where to start. Then, in 2006 Alycia made the decision that changed her life forever. She quit her job doing mortgages. "I finally realized that I should be an entrepreneur! I was working in a tiny company and was doing everything from talking to clients, to servicing accounts, to getting coffee for people. I was even working a second job as a waitress. That was when I realized that I had the skills I needed to do this on my own."
Without a mentor or coach to guide her, Alycia immersed herself in books and courses on marketing, success, and prosperity. Using a hand-me-down computer gifted by her younger sister, she harnessed the power making connections and surrounding her-self only with positive and motivated individuals to build her business. She knew so many people wanted to be musicians, models, actors and dancers and needed the right people to turn to for guidance, and not just a teacher who was teaching the craft, but also one that had experienced great success from their craft. So many people were taken advantage of both financially and emotionally because there was no proven system a person could follow to find success. Alycia knew she would create these systems.
Although happy at being free from the chains of corporate America this was a difficult period for the budding entrepreneur. She was having trouble-finding clients, didn't know how to market herself, and was flat broke."I remember one night going to the ATM. I was due to meet some friends for dinner and I couldn't even take out a $20 bill, my balance was $19.47. I will never forget that. And I had to call them and cancel and go home. I had maxed out my credit cards. I had just been putting all I had into my little startup business."
Alycia hung in there. The thought of working again for someone else's dollar was too painful to bear, and how she coped during this difficult time serves as a perfect illustration of how to find success if you really want it."I trusted myself. This was my path. I listened to my heart and knew that this was what I was supposed to do. Soon enough I figured it out." And that's when the business started to move in the right direction. Alycia's skill and proficiency at marketing her business started to attract such prestigious clients as Nole Marin the Judge from America's Next Top Model, Deborah Gregory the founder of The Cheetah Girls , Ed Bennett the founder of VH-1, and many other representatives from such notable organization's such as Ford, Wilhelmina, MTV, Warner Brothers, NBC and some of the top people in music, modeling, acting and even Broadway legends. But the best was yet to come.
The moment when Alycia realized that her risks would be rewarded was at her very first event. Over 150 talent that were hand selected from over 3000 applications came to what would be quoted as a life changing event in both their careers and in their personal lives. Individuals from that first event who would have still had careers ranging from dish washers to waitresses now have walked the runways in NYC and Europe and have appeared in major motion pictures and in international publications, their life changed in so many ways both financially and by living their dreams now improved their relationships with family and friends and now they could give back to society."I'll never forget that feeling, there were dozens of people thanking me for finally giving them the opportunity to succeed. And I realized, I'm not working! I had done the work, and now I'm helping people live their dream and meet the right people to help them. I thought, I want to do more of this! I was euphoric, and I said, "Well, I don't want to work so hard for hours-for-dollars anymore. I want to do more of this helping people to succeed.'"
Since that day, Alycia fast became a foremost authority in helping individuals meet the right people for success.
